Facebook could once again be changing how personal profiles appear on its new Timeline design, according to reports.
After their stocks recently plummet, the company confirmed today that it is conducting a test of the new Timeline layout.
The beta testing moves some information and links into the wide cover photo that now stretches across the tops of user profiles.
Facebook have said in a statement: “We can confirm this is a small test, but don’t have anything further to share at this time.”
The new Timeline would move the user’s name, home location, occupation, education, and other basic information into a layer of text over the cover photo, and the text was changed to white.
There is also a “Summary” tab added, which reveals a list of the user’s major “Life Events” of the user.
Other changes include turning “Likes” into “Favourites,” and condensing the current tabs – “Friends,” “Photos,” “Map,” and new “Favorites” – into a smaller space just below the cover photo.
